if the folder "AppData" exists, two things will happen:
1. If you have write permission to this folder, ISESteroids will load user options from here if present This way, you can define your favorite initial settings (see below) 2. If you also have write permission to this folder, ISESteroids will use this folder to store all user settings here This way, you get a zero-touch installation (portable app) where the host system is not altered in any way Also, when you are loading ISESteroids from a portable device such as a USB stick, you can carry around your settings. To define initial settings: 1. Start ISESteroids, set your options, then close ISESteroids 2. Look into $env:appdata\ISESteroids 3. Copy the complete content of $env:appdata\ISESteroids into this folder 4. Delete the original $env:appdata\ISESteroids if you want to store settings locally within the module instead in $env:appdata |
